Position:
The Accounts Receivable/Account Payable Specialist oversees the daily operations of AR/AP.
Performs various specialized accounting functions of complex nature and ensures that procedures and practices are being followed in accordance with company policy, accounting principles, and contractual requirements.
Basic Requirements:
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, or a related field and 3-5 years of experience required.
However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.
Must have broad knowledge of accounting concepts, accounting office practices, and procedures usually obtained through either college courses or equivalent commercial experience.
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with good written, verbal, presentation, and listening skills.
Shows evidence of good organization and project planning skills.
Must demonstrate ability to work in a team environment and willingness to assume additional or new responsibilities readily.
Computer skills with proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and accounting systems software.
Ability to develop complex spreadsheets and modify formats in order to complete assignments.
Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information or issues.
Epicor/Kinetic ERP software experience is a plus.
Manufacturing experience a plus.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Oversight of all Accounts Payable transactions, invoice coding, batch control and check runs.
Works to assure the accuracy of job costs through the management of AP transactions.
Upkeep of sales & use exemptions on purchasing in AP & AR.
Solely responsible for AP vendor master file including creation and updates, and removal of duplicates.
Responsible to lead the team from check writing to ACH & Card program for AP payments.
Management of company card expenses and reimbursement.
Assist in travel expense approvals and bookings.
Assist in month-end closing journal entries.
Assist in balance sheet reconciliations.
Monthly bank reconciliations.
Liaise with outside tax consultants on tax preparation issues.
Set Up and maintain any necessary tax schedules.
Upkeep of fixed assets schedules & depreciation expense in asset software.
Reconciliation of fixed asset accounts monthly.
Other ad-hoc projects as needed by the department.
Perform other duties as assigned.
