Business Systems Specialist

Summary/Objective Shaw Systems is a national software development company that has an established record of solid financial performance and an excellent reputation for providing quality products.
We are seeking a motivated individual to work as a Business Systems Specialist with our credit-based financial software products that run on multiple platforms.
This position will be responsible for providing technical product support to clients, as well as troubleshooting software application issues.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience supporting customers in auto-leasing.
Operational experience in the banking or the auto finance industry is a must.
Responsibilities Has a strong understanding of the business application(s) and works to resolve complex application software problems Able to do the research and testing that is necessary to answer high level customer inquires Analyze and document client needs and business processes Able to manage multiple tasks concurrently when priorities are provided Responsible for communicating directly to customers on progress of issues Responsible for testing system enhancements and assisting clients with implementing new business features Ability to work in a supporting role as team environment with developers, testers and designers Responsible for scoping and writing detailed business requirements for new customer functionality and modification Works closely with development team to ensure customer requests are completed timely and correctly.
Requirements Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred Strong analytical, interpersonal, communication, problem solving and research skills Excellent written and oral communications skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook) Understanding of software systems from the user’s and technical perspective 5+ years of experience supporting customers in auto-leasing.
Must work well under pressure to meet ongoing and overlapping deadlines within short time constraints Additional hours may be needed during peak times and for software releases Prior experience with Structured Query Language (SQL) and relational databases a plus Formal presentation experience Education / Certifications Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred Location This position may work from any of the following locations: Hybrid office schedule if within 75 miles of the Houston, TX or Richmond, VA office.
Remote with the ability to travel at least 5% from the following states: Texas if more than 75 miles from the office location, Virginia if more than 75 miles from the office location, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Louisiana, Michigan, New Jersey, Minnesota, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Utah.

Work Environment and Physical Demands This is a full-time position.
Days of work are Monday through Friday.
The daily schedule may vary from 7 am – 4 pm, 8 am – 5 pm or 9 am – 6 pm, and occasional afterhours or weekend work may be required.
Hours may vary or exceed 40 in any given week depending on the needs of the business.
