Description: FLSA Classification: Nonexempt Reports to: Kids Zone Manager Job Description Summary/objective Supervise and monitor the safety of children (ages 6 months - 12 years) while in the care of the Kids Zone.
Essential functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.
Provide basic child care with constant emphasis on safety Greet children and parents as they arrive and leave the Kids Zone Ensure a smooth check in & out process with children and parents Provide bottle feeding and diapering when needed Assist children with snacks and food Maintain a clean and safe environment through: storing toys and supplies in appropriate areas, disinfecting surfaces and equipment, ensuring all children’s belongings are clearly labeled Maintain unobstructed and uninterrupted view of the Kids Zone at all times Engage all children with stimulating activities and/or games Maintain knowledge of club policies and effectively communicate them to members/guests Requirements: Physical demands Must be able to stand, move, walk, and bend for the duration of a shift Ability to stretch, reach, pull, push and use repetitive arm, hand, and leg motion Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs Must have ability and willingness to work varied shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays Required competencies, education, and experience High School Diploma preferred Prior babysitting and/or nanny experience preferred Superior customer service and communication skills Must have genuine interest in working with and interacting with child Must be at least 15 years of age or older Company Expectations Read, sign, and abide by the policies included in the Team Member Handbook Park in team member designated areas Club cleanliness is an all-team responsibility; assist whenever necessary in any area of the club to keep club neat and clean Assist with Service Days Willingness to assist with acac programs, special events, or activities outside your department When supervisor or team member calls or emails, promptly return contact Exhibit a positive attitude at all times Deliver outstanding service to members and guests with friendliness, direct eye contact, a pleasant demeanor at all times Affirmative Action/EEO statement acac is an equal opportunity employer that recruits and hires qualified candidates without regard to race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, age, national origin, ancestry, citizenship, disability, or veteran status.
