Job Summary/Basic Functions
The Senior Fiscal Technician will assist the Office of the Associate Dean and Director of Research at the VSU Agricultural Research Station.
This role will provide administrative and office management support, and fiscal coordination to ARS operations for the College of Agriculture.
Working closely with the program director and business unit staff to aid effective execution of business objectives.
Serve as the Senior Fiscal Technician for Agricultural Research Station.
Provide administrative support, office management, and fiscal coordination to Agricultural Research Station for the College of Agriculture.
Minimum Qualifications
• Demonstrated ability to compose professional correspondences and reports
• Demonstrated ability to edit and proofread large documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Extensive experience and high proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (i.
e .
Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
• Working knowledge of eVA, Banner (Financial System), and other federal and state grant reporting systems
• Knowledge and ability to enter requisitions into the eVA system
• Coordinate travel arrangements by processing expenses into the University Chrome River system.
• Extensive knowledge in collecting, organizing and documenting information
• Ability to work independently, including planning and establishing priorities
• Ability to develop accurate reports from automated and/or manual sources: Effective oral and written communication
Additional Considerations:
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in business administration.
• Progressive experience in research, education and outreach programs.
