edu Recruitment Type: General Public - G Job Duties Position will provide support to the Financial Reporting Department while performing accounting and analytical tasks to include reconciliations; will analyze account balances; and maintain general accounting ledger sheets; prepare the University quarterly receivables report for submission to the Department of Accounts (DOA); will assist with the preparation of the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR Attachments and University Financial Statements, to include footnotes, and other scheduled; prepare the Equity in Athletics Disclosure Act (EADA) and the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) Reports; and will prepare work papers with appropriate support to establish sufficient audit trails.
Minimum Qualifications Must have knowledge of college and university accounting and reporting requirements and generally-accepted accounting principles; must have knowledge of fiscal and accounting functions and operations; must have considerable knowledge of using software applications to include Microsoft Office Suite, data processing techniques, and automated accounting systems; must have demonstrated ability to apply and implement established accounting methods; must have demonstrated ability to assemble, analyze, and prepare financial reports with complex financial data; must possess strong problem-solving and analytical skills; must have ability to work both independently or with a team; must have ability to multi-task and meet deadlines assigned; and must have excellent oral and written communications skills.
Additional Considerations Graduation from a college or university with major studies in accounting or related curriculum and/or equivalent combination of training, experience, and education.
CPA is preferred.
Experience working with BANNER and/or CARDINAL system is a plus.
